Job type : Full Time.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and materials for teaching and research.
- Assist lecturers and students during practical sessions.
- Ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with laboratory protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and lab usage.
Key Requirements:
- Degree in a related field (Biology, Chemistry, etc.)
- At least 1-year laboratory experience.
- Hands-on experience in laboratory settings
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and students

Job Type : Full Time for Mechanical Physics (1)
Key Responsibilities.
- Develop and update course content, materials, and assessments.
- Supervise and mentor students in their research projects and dissertations.
- Contribute to the academic community through research in mechanical physics, publishing papers in top-tier journals, and presenting at conferences.
- Participate in departmental activities, including academic committees, recruitment, and outreach programs.
- Stay up to date with the latest developments in mechanical physics and integrate these into teaching and research activities.
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
Key Requirements.
- A Masters in Mechanical Physics, Applied Physics, or a closely related field.
- A strong record of teaching experience in higher education (ideally in mechanical physics or related disciplines).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A passion for teaching and mentoring students.
- Evidence of an active research profile, including publications in reputable journals or conference proceedings.
- Experience with modern physics laboratory equipment and simulations (desirable).

Key responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate M&E courses
- Supervise student research in development and project evaluation.
- Contribute to curriculum design and program review.
- Engage in academic research and consultancy
Key Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, or related field
- Experience in conducting evaluations in a variety of sectors
- Passion for teaching and mentoring students
- At least 2 years teaching or field experience in M&E.

Location : KUMU Main Campus.
Reports to : Dean of Students.
Job type : Part Time.
Key responsibility:
The University Counselor will provide emotional, psychological, and academic counseling services to students, ensuring a supportive environment for their personal and professional growth. If you are dedicated to helping students thrive academically and emotionally, we want to hear from you.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related field
- Proven experience in student counseling and mental health support

6 Director of Research (1)
Location : KUMU Main Campus
Reports to : Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic Affairs.
Job Type : 3-year contract(renewable)
Key responsibilities
- Lead the university’s research, innovation and consultancy agenda.
- Coordinate research grants, publications, and knowledge transfer.
- Develop policies that enhance research output and partnership
- Monitor implementation of strategic research.
Key Requirements:
- Ph.D. in a relevant field
- Significant experience in research leadership and management for at least 5 years.
- Proven ability to secure research funding and develop strategic research plans
- Strong leadership and communication skills
