
Professor Emeritus Jay J. Shim
Kumi University is deeply honored to welcome Professor Emeritus Rev. Dr. Jay J. Shim from May 28 to June 6, 2025, as he leads our Faculty Enrichment Program. During his visit, Dr. Shim will mentor selected faculty on integrating Christian faith into both daily life and academic practice.
About Professor Shim:
Dr. Jay Shim is a respected theologian, pastor, and mentor. On Saturday, May 17, 2025, he was honored with the Distinguished Alumni Award by Calvin Theological Seminary in recognition of his lifelong dedication to theological education, preaching, and discipleship. He holds a Ph.D. in Systematic Theology from Calvin Theological Seminary, studied Philosophy at Calvin College, and served as a Professor of Theology at Dordt University for over 20 years. His work continues to inspire generations of students and believers to live out their faith in a contemporary world.
